George Clooney is an assassin/gunsmith hiding out in a small town in northern Italy, where he accepts a job to manufacture a sniper rifle, while falling in love with beautiful sex worker, Clara. My favourite George Clooney movie. The film is luxuriously slow, too slow for some, but I love it. The sensibility is closer to Japanese director Kōji Fukada (HARMONIUM (2016)), than Francis Ford Coppola. Contains possibly the hottest George Clooney sex scene? A great deal of the movie is dedicated to the construction and testing of a sniper rifle, which is very reminiscent of THE DAY OF THE JACKAL (1973). The ultimate slow burning thriller.
