Into The West (1992)

dir. Mike Newell. Pure joy. A story about a family of Irish Travellers, the father played by Gabriel Byrne, and his two young sons, Tito and Ossie, with their mother previously passed away. The brothers discover a beautiful white horse, possibly magical, and go on an adventure, fleeing the police, and their father. The scenes with the boys and the horse are beautiful, often hilarious, and always very touching. The child actors playing the brothers are amazing. The ending might be too distressing for some younger viewers. The scene where they break into the cinema is pure movie magic.
