Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

dir. Jon Watts. What up, dorks? The high school romance between Peter and MJ is sweet, but the “flirting” between Happy and Aunt May is cringe inducing. The European setting makes a welcome change from the parking lots and generic cities of other Marvel films. Zendaya is a radiant, and witty bright spot, if they make another one, they should use her much more. The action set pieces are intricate and dynamic, but pile so much crap in that develops that dull collage feeling like so many Marvel movies. Cool to see some TV comedy stars like J.B. Smoove (Curb your Enthusiasm) and Martin Starr (Silicon Valley, Party Down) in a big movie.
