Charlie’s Angels (2019)

dir. Elizabeth Banks. Two movies in one night! Fun 90s style throwback film. Enjoyable due to the believable friendship between Kristen Stewart’s and Ella Balinska’s characters, I’d love to see them in a sequel. The comedy works, with a few laugh out loud moments. I’d have liked to see more stealth comedy sequences like the lab break-in, rather than the gunfights. The soundtrack is solid, with great pop songs, but weirdly the bombastic orchestral music for the action scenes is terrible, like it was pulled from half a dozen different action movies, I felt like this makes the movie feel older than it should.
